David Marshall

David Marshall was born and raised in West (by God) Virginia , the son and grandson of coalminers employed with the Olga Coal Company and proud members of the United Mine Workers Union . David learned at an early age the value and benefit of being part of a union. David served 4 years in the United States Marines as a Motor Transport Mechanic and as support for Rifle Security Team, Windward in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba . In 1999, after honorably discharging from the Marines, David moved to Dallas, Texas. He started his career with Southwestern Bell in the year 2000, as a Mailroom Clerk in the Remittance Operations Center (downtown 2 Bell) . A year later he transferred to the position of Customer Service Tech, a position in which he currently holds today. David joined the union on day one.  This was his first union job and was excited at the possibilities that it would bring. David is loyal to the union and its cause. David wants to make sure everyone gets a fair shake and representation from this local.  David has served thru the ranks in union as Job Steward, Education Committee Chair,  Convention Delegate, Jurisdiction Committee Member,  PMEI Committee Member, Safety Committee Member and two terms as Vice President. David is a Member of CBTU, NAACP, and The Minority Caucus.  David Marshall was elected by acclamation to serve as Executive Vice President of CWA local 6215 effective January 1, 2024.

David is married to Heather Marshall and they have four children;  DJ, Robert, Deven, and Sydnee Marshall . David enjoys cruising the open seas when vacationing and will watch any level of football from pee wee to the NFL.
